QAROT: Quota Adoption and Reform over Time, 1947–2015

With Melanie M. Hughes, Pamela Paxton, and Pär Zetterberg. QAROT records the adoption, implementation, and reform of electoral gender quotas worldwide over nearly seven decades from the first historic quota adoption, capturing not just whether a country has a quota but how its design has changed over time. We are currently updating the dataset to extend through 2025.

Winner, 2022 APSA Lijphart/Przeworski/Verba Best Dataset Prize.
